So, what happened?
We launched our first subscription, Skype Unlimited, in December 2006. A year later, we replaced it with Skype Pro, a new subscription with expanded calling benefits plus a few free products like Skype To Go and voicemail.
After April 21st 2008, Skype Pro was replaced by a new monthly subscriptionsproviding calls to the US and Canada, Mexico and over 40 other countries worldwide.
Can I still purchase Skype Unlimited or Skype Pro?
No, but you can still enjoy unlimited calls* to landlines and some cell phones in over 40 countries around the world, including the US, Canada and Mexico.
Can I renew my Skype Unlimited or Skype Pro subscription upon expiration?
Unfortunately, neither Skype Unlimited nor Skype Pro are available for new or renewal purchase. We hope that our new monthly subscriptions will provide you even more of what you’ve come to love about Skype.
