Skype Sound Set Up Guide

To get the best out of Skype, you should work through the following steps.
NOTE: The following instructions may be different for some people due to their audio software/hardware manufacturer and their operating system version.

First, choose your operating system:

• PC running Windows Vista
• PC running Windows XP (Classic Style used) or Windows 2000
• PC running Windows XP (XP Style used)
• PC running Linux
• Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.3 or greater

Testing Your Sound Setup

To test your sound set up in any version of Skype, use the testing robot "echo123" - just click here to call. You can even add it to your contacts. This way, you can try a test call any time to check your headset, speakers and/or microphone are working properly.
