How alerts work
eBay alerts
eBay alerts keep you up-to-date with all of your bids and any items you are watching. When you are signed into Skype, you’ll get a reminder 15 minutes before a listing you’re watching in My eBay is about to end and you’ll get an alert immediately if you are outbid on an item.
Ensuring eBay notifications are enabled in Skype
PayPal alerts
When someone sends you money, Skype lets you know that the cash is waiting for you the next time you log into PayPal. To set up PayPal alerts, you need to link your Skype and PayPal accounts as part of the Send Money feature.
Free 411 alerts
When you call Free 411 to find a business phone number, you’ll get the option to have it sent to you as a Skype alert. The alert pops up with the number you requested. What’s more, you can automatically start the call by clicking on the number in the alert, and you can add the number to your Skype contact list so you have it stored for next time.
