While you were away
Never miss a beat with event notifications.
Skype has a great function that notifies you of events happening – it could be a missed call or a message in an IM conversation.
Notifications about missed calls.
Alerts for new voicemail messages.
Missed events
Events include missed calls, new voicemails or new authorization requests from people wishing to add you to their contact list. You can set up which events you want to be alerted to in your profile. For example, if you have set up an instant message (IM) notification, you will be alerted when the word(s) you specified are mentioned in a conversation; for example, your name.
You can also set up Skype so that you can receive alerts when there is activity on your eBay auctions – if you get a bid on an item you are selling or an alert if you are outbid in an auction.

How events work
You will be notified when you receive an event by a flashing icon in your system tray, or by a missed event alert on Skype. Simple click the flashing icon or the event notification to find out what it refers to.
