Promoting your Skype Public chat
Both hosts and participants can promote Skype Public chats that they are members of by going to Options > Promote Chat.
This brings up a dialogue that will supply them with the correct URL to share via email or chats. Simply copy and paste the URL of the public chat you wish to promote into emails or chats to encourage people to join in the discussion. You can also add this link to your Skype mood message allowing other Skype users to click on your mood message to join this chat.
Skype Public chats can also be promoted in email signatures, on forums and blogs, MySpace pages or even on a website using web snippets. To create your unique web snippet click 'Get code snippet online' in the same 'Promote Chat' dialogue. Then follow the simple on-screen instructions. Once you have the html for the web snippet simply add this to your email signature, blog or website to start promoting your public chat.

If you hold Skypepcasts on the same topic as your public chat then a good idea is to post a link to your chat in your Skypecast description. That way you can invite your listeners join your own chat room and get them more involved in the discussion.
