With so many people already using Skype you can be sure that some of your friends are already using it. Import contacts searches email addresses in your different address books including MS Outlook®, Gmail™, MSN Hotmail® or your mail account at Yahoo! and compares them to email address of users already in Skype. If they match up we ask you if they are the same person and you can then send them a request to be added to their contact list. Once they accept you can start calling them for free.

To start looking for friends who may be already using Skype simply click Tools > Import Contacts from the menu. Follow the instructions to start searching your address books.
