What can you put in your mood panel?
Just about anything you want, really. It’s meant for short, sweet nothings, and iṯs great for telling the world (well, the people on your contact list at least) that you’re a bit under the weather and working from home today or that they should run, not walk, and read your blog. Of course, it’s also a brilliant place to showcase your unique wit by telling that joke about the three-legged moose that walked into a bar and the barman said... well, you know the one.
One of the more clever ways of using the mood panel is to show a video. You select the video, and people on your contact list can view it right there in Skype. They’ll probably be so impressed that they’ll strike up a conversation immediately.

How the mood panel works
It’s easy to change what’s in your mood. Just click on the panel and it will then be highlighted and you can start typing your message, paste in a link or click the clapper board icon (on the right of the panel) to select a video to show.
