If you're away from Skype you can now get your voicemails converted to text and sent to your mobile as text messages. Now, when that important business message or flight booking arrives you'll receive the information quickly.
How much does it cost to convert my voicemail to text?
Each message converted to text with SpinVox will cost €0,20 (€0,23 excl. VAT), plus a maximum of 3 SMS's sent at standard rates (depending upon the length of the voicemail message). If the message cannot be converted (for instance, if there is a lot of background noise when the message is spoken) you'll receive an alert (charged at Skype's standard SMS rate) plus the €0,20 charge as mentioned above. All payments will be made through Skype Credit.
If you receive a very long voicemail message we'll convert as much text as can be contained in three text messages. If you receive a long voicemail you'll see '...' at the end of the last text message to tell you there's more content. Simply, sign into Skype to hear the full voicemail message.
What languages can be converted?
Currently SpinVox can convert voicemail messages left in English, French, German and Spanish.
Are voicemails converted to text immediately?
Nope, we leave a 10-minute gap before they are converted so you get a chance to listen to the voicemail first.
