It’s really useful to have a history of what you did on Skype. Just in case you want see a number you called or review an instant message you sent ages ago.

History at your fingertips
All your activity is safely stored on the History tab. This way you can see at a glance who you called, who called you and who you chatted to. It’s a great way to find that old link to that neat website your boss sent you a long time ago or to call back someone who called you. It’s also great for storing all your sent SMS messages.
Chat history
There’s also a history menu bar at the top of your instant message conversations. You can restore a chat from yesterday, last week, last month, or even your entire conversation history with that contact. It’s a useful feature to double-check a requirement or trace a decision back to when it was made. It’s fully searchable, so even if you just remember one word you can easily find the rest of the conversation to jog your memory.

How the History tab works
Simply press the History tab within Skype and you can see all your activity on Skype – incoming and outgoing calls, instant messages, file transfers and group chats. You can also easily check through your history by searching for a specific word or number.
