* If the message cannot be converted (for instance, if there is a lot of background noise when the message is spoken) you’ll receive an alert (charged at Skype’s standard SMS rate) plus the 20c charge as mentioned above. If you receive a very long voicemail message we’ll convert as much text as can be contained in three text messages. Messages longer than 3 SMS long will show ‘…’ at the end to indicate there is more, sign into Skype to hear the full message.
No emergency calls with Skype
Skype is not a replacement for your telephone and can't be used for emergency calling.
