Skype add-on for Internet Explorer
When you installed Skype, you also installed the Skype add-on for Internet Explorer. The add-on turns phone numbers on websites into buttons which you can click to call from Skype.
Phone numbers on pages are shown as grey buttons.
The add-on will attempt to identify the country of the number. If it’s wrong, click the flag icon to change it.
Click the number to call.
Right-click on the phone number shows you more options, such as send SMS, copy phone number and add to SkypeOut contacts.
How to turn off the add-on.
Click the Skype add-on icon on the Internet Explorer toolbar once to turn it off.
Click it again to turn it back on.
You need Skype Credit to call landlines and mobiles from Skype.
