Upgrade Skype
To upgrade Skype, download the latest version of Skype for Mac OS X and follow the instructions. Please make sure that your old version of Skype is not running when you install the new version of Skype. When you drag the new version of Skype into your applications folder, click “Yes” to the warning dialogue which asks ask whether to replace your old copy of Skype.
Versions of Skype 2.6 and above will prompt you when a new version becomes available. Simply click “Upgrade” to proceed with the installation. You can also skip version or ask Skype to prompt you later.
