How to call ordinary phones
Calling landline and mobile phones
1. Click “Call ordinary phones” at the bottom of your contact list to open the call window.
2. Pick the country you want to call.
3. Type in the local phone number and press the green call button.

Find your friends on Skype
Some of your friends are already using Skype. You can find them in the Skype directory and talk to them for free, wherever they are in the world.
1. Open search window via “Contacts” -> “Search for Skype Users...” from Skype menu.
2. Type your friend’s full name into the search field and click the “Search” button.
3. Select your friend’s name from the search results and click “Add Contact” to add them to your contact list.

Check your sound
It’s easy to check that your sound works, just call our automated sound test “echo123”. Click the green “Skype Me!™” button to start the call.
Your computer’s built-in microphone and speakers should be enough for you to talk on Skype. If you don’t have both of these, then buy cheap starter headsets from our online shop.
